Meet Kalvee and Vimala, two familiar faces behind Suzuki at Axess, whose love for music adds rhythm, joy and character to their everyday work.
Let’s get to know Kalvee, Sales Assistant
For many customers, Kalvee is one of the first smiles they meet when visiting the Suzuki showroom. Warm, welcoming and full of life, she brings a vibrant energy to every interaction.
Within the team, she is also known as the showroom’s in house DJ. Always ready to set the mood, bring ideas to life and take part in video content, Kalvee has a natural way of creating a positive atmosphere around her.
For Kalvee, music became a passion during a stressful time in school.
Looking back, it’s funny how our passions find us when we’re at our most stressed. Back in 10th grade, music was my ultimate escape. I remember humming The Greatest Showman’s Never Enough just to cope with the anxiety of a lunchtime study session. The next day, before an inter college debate, a friend and I leaned into that comfort again by singing Demi Lovato’s Stone Cold. We were just trying to feel happy and find our vibe. We had no idea anyone was listening until the Arts and Culture teacher stopped us. Hearing her say, ‘You are talented,’ felt surreal. So surreal that I immediately went into denial.
Today, music remains part of who she is. Her current favourite song on repeat is One Track Mind by Naika. Locally, she admires Zulu, while globally, Lady Gaga is one of her favourite artists.
Her dream stage? Either sharing the stage with Zulu or singing the bridal entrance at a loved one’s church wedding. No in between.
And if Kalvee had to match her personality with a Suzuki model, it would be the Suzuki Jimny 5 Doors. Powerful, fearless and full of character. Just like her choice of song, No Lie by Dua Lipa.
Let’s get to know Vimala Sawmy, Brand Manager
Behind the scenes, Vimala is one of the key forces shaping the Suzuki brand experience. Her work touches everything, from how the brand is presented to how it connects with people.
Known for her caring nature and strong presence, Vimala brings structure, purpose and heart into everything she does. Whether she is supporting the team, guiding ideas or building the brand, she has a way of making things happen with consistency and care.
For Vimala, music is also a way to relax and release stress. When the day gets busy, music becomes a moment of calm, helping her reset and recharge.
Her favourite music includes the Mauritian Sega, a sound that carries rhythm, culture and emotion. She also enjoys listening to the music of A. R. Rahman, whose compositions are known for their depth, feeling and powerful melodies.
When it comes to Suzuki, Vimala enjoys listening to music in the Suzuki Across, especially with its Infinity sound system. For someone who values both comfort and emotion, the Across offers the perfect space to enjoy every note.
