Job overview

As a Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring optimum customer service and make customer's experience easier by advising customers on the type of repairs/products required and on the work in progress.

Key responsibilities

As a Service Supervisor, you will:

  • Upon reception of equipment, perform inspection and fill in required documentation accordingly.
  • Prepare the estimate of repairs for equipment by identifying required parts, labor or any subcontracted work if required.
  • Organize daily planning with team and provide regular information to responsible party on work in progress for repairs
  • Follow up intervention progress and supervise to ensure that interventions are done to required standard.
  • Coordinate & communicate with peers upon ordered parts monitoring and work in progress.
  • Upon completion of repairs/intervention, do a thorough inspection of the equipment and ensure that repairs have been done up to standard.
  • Ensure that all customer complaints, internal procedures are documented, handled, and successfully closed within an agreed deadline.
  • Ensure WIP’s reports are followed, monitored, and submitted on time.
  • Ensure that all new and repaired equipment is delivered to the required standard.
  • Ensure that the workshop environment is organized and tidy.
  • Attend online and hands on training and be able to act as a train the trainer by transferring knowledge.
  • Ensure that tools are available and followed up accordingly.
  • Ensure that service vehicles are kept tidy and to required standard.
  • Be on standby for after-hour complaints or breakdowns and attend breakdowns accordingly if required.

 

Requirements

You'll need to have:

  • Have a thorough and extensive knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electric of equipment.
  • Able to perform equipment inspection and diagnostic repairs and estimates.
  • Knowledge of manutention equipment.
  • Organization skills.
  • Customer relations skills.
  • Able to deal with Customer complaint.
  • At least SC.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy vehicles industry.
  • Forklift driving license.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Knowledge of DMS.
