JOB DESCRIPTION

The Security Officer is responsible to abide with all security responsibilities and involvement. Guard, patrol, monitor premises to guarantee safe work environment, protect people, prevent theft, violence, and infractions of rules.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Record all out / in movement of vehicles.
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
  • Patrol the premises to prevent as per procedure.
  • Hand over and take over all security aspects at gate and in yard.
  • Report any anomalies in the occurrence book or to the Head of security depending on circumstances.
  • Answer Odd- Hours telephone calls, provide and take note of customers request & mobile number in Log Book and inform Head of Security.
  • Move company or client vehicles when needed to allow fluid vehicle flow and clear and safe pedestrian way.
  • Use authorized company vehicle to move from one Axess site to another for security patrol or emergencies when requested by Head of Security or Team Leader.
  • Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
  • Politely warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, the use of necessary force is eligible in specific cases.
  • Attend Fire alarm, Intruder Alarm notification investigate & report disturbances.
  • Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, or machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.
  • Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property.
  • Respond to medical emergencies, bomb threats, and follow emergency response procedure.
  • Ensure all cameras are operational and report anomalies to Head of Security.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • 3-4 years of relevant work experience in the same job
  • At least SC
  • Holder of a clean certificate of morality
  • Holder of a clean manual driving license
