Parts Advisor

The Parts Advisor is responsible to attend parts request and to ensure that the correct part is obtained the first time. This includes identifying correct parts and locating them in inventory or ordering the requested part. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare and process parts quotations (pricing, availability, and catalog lookup)
  • Support Service Advisors with estimates and special/non-available parts orders
  • Ensure timely supply of parts to technicians and prepare pre-picking lists for scheduled jobs
  • Calculate and update parts pricing and estimates
  • Reserve approved parts and manage stock levels, including timely reordering
  • Follow up on special orders and grounded vehicles; update teams on arrivals
  • Review and monitor reserved parts orders regularly
  • Perform parts picking, identification, and return of unused parts to warehouse
  • Liaise with Procurement for urgent local sourcing and ETA follow-ups
  • Support workshop operations with tools, consumables (oil/grease), and parts coordination
  • Maintain strong knowledge of parts products and services

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum HSC qualification
  • 2–3 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry and parts is essential

Specific Job Requirements

  • Valid motorcycle and/or private car driving licence
  • Clean Certificate of Character
