Painter Grade II
The Painter Grade II is responsible for formulating and applying properly mixed and dispensed automotive refinish materials to vehicle surfaces and sub-assemblies, using spray-painting equipment, power tools and other related equipment according to Axess quality and time standards.
Responsibilities and Duties
- To assist in examining damaged vehicles within defined service standards.
- To do general painting including specific painting.
- To provide assistance and coaching to newcomers & apprentices
- To be able to do spot repairs
- To use and maintain brushes, rollers, blowlamps, spray guns and other tools of the trade
- To remove paint, polish vehicle and prepare surfaces for painting
- To select, prepare, and test raw paint material prior to painting, ensuring to follow instructions based on scheduling and testing of pain
- To ensure correct paint products and batches are used when required
- To prepare paints to be painted
- To operate equipment to clean, wash, strip, sand, remove corrosion, fill dents (minor) or otherwise prepare items for application of paint, lacquer or other protective
- To operate automated spray paint, dip or flow coating equipment or other mechanized painting or product coating application equipment
- To operate hand-held spray guns to spray paint

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Form 4
- Minimum 4 years of experience as automotive painter
- Holder of a valid driving private car license
