JOB OBJECTIVE
The Multipurpose Technician Grade 1 is responsible to make, install, modify, and repair vehicle trim and upholstery and refitting the components. This role also involves the repair and overhaul of engines and transmissions of various automotive machines and performs the more technical and difficult auto repair works.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Plan service orders to multipurpose technician grade II.
- Coach and verify work of multipurpose technician grade II. All tasks of grade II.
- Minor repairs and replacements on all type of vehicles. where required (servicing, brake pads/discs, wheel bearings and other related parts).
- Tyre Management: verify tyres and problematics on customer vehicles (on site and off site).
- Dismantle cross member front and rear.
- Strip vehicle completely.
- Perform diagnostic test on vehicle.
- Perform electrical repairs and dismantle.
- Report each task performed on vehicles.
- Responsible for carrying out trim repairs and alterations.
- Remove old coverings or fittings and replace vehicle interior trim components.
- Refit, align and perform repairs on window mechanisms, door locks and other interior parts.
- Fabricate and install loose and fitted covers, marine covers, canvas products, floor coverings, soft top hoods, canopies and curtains.
- Remove/installed internal and external trims of vehicles.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Min. Form 3
- Atleast 4-5 years of relevant work experience
- Holder of a driving license
- Holder of a clean morality certificate
