The New Generation D-MAX

18th august, 2022

Discover the all-new D-Max.

The all-new D-Max has an entirely new design thanks to the latest technologies.

This Japanese pickup is mainly perceived as an incomparable workhorse, and it remains so while retaining its strength and well-known character. Isuzu relies on the same formula of the D-Max, where power and character are key for its success. The power of 190 horsepower and the torque of 450 Nm are maintained. The impressive towing capacity of 3.5 tons remains intact and you can load more than a ton in the pickup bed.

Driving Performance

Isuzu’s new dynamic driving platform includes a reinforced structure, modified wheelbase, improved suspension, and electric power steering. Isuzu’s engineers have made sure that this new D-Max is revolutionary and gains more than 20% in stability and handling. As a result, the new D-Max is comfortable and stable to drive, with or without a 3.5 ton trailer.

Isuzu is also making a point for off-road enthusiasts: with the increased clearance height of 800 mm, the new D-Max is designed to conquer any difficult terrain.

Security

The new D-Max offers an impressive level of safety features – equipped with 6 airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Emergency Brakeforce Distribution), seats with Iso fix anchoring, among others. The model has received 5-star in the Euro NCAP (New Car Assessment Program) test.

Conception & Comfort

The fresh look is more stylish and bold. With its new headlights and a larger grille, the D-MAX offers a more aggressive appearance. In addition to the body modifications, its interior is a real eye-catcher.

While remodeling the interior of the New D-MAX, the main considerations were better ergonomics, greater comfort for the user and a luxurious look. The sound insulation of the engine has also been adjusted drastically, with Isuzu’s focus on comfort while travelling on or off road. The luxury model includes a 9-inch information tablet, adjustable steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control and several driving assistance systems.

The range

The versions that will be available in the first instance for our market will be:

  • The 1.9 litre LS 4×2 Automatic version
  • The 3.0 litre LS 4×4 Manual version
  • The 3.0 litre LSE 4×4 Automatic version.

Note that the LE models of the previous version are still available (in 2.5 litres, 4×2 and 4×4, both with manual transmission).

“Despite the current supply problems we are facing, we are convinced that this brand-new version of the D-MAX will become a prominent model in the coming weeks and a must-have in the pick-up segment in Mauritius. With this new model, Isuzu has kept all the strong points offered by the previous versions (robustness, reliability, low fuel consumption) while improving the lifestyle aspect (look, comfort, ergonomics, equipment level), thus giving even more appeal to this new D Max.” explain Frederick Wiehe, Head of Sales at Axess.

Each model comes with a 5-year or 100,000 km warranty. The new D-MAX will be sold from Rs 1,655,000 on road.
