Jaguar Land Rover sub-Sahara Africa honoured its top performing importers at the annual Importer of the Year event, which was streamed online for the first time in its history. Among the 14 recipients of awards across six categories was Axess Mauritius, which received top honour as 2019 Importer of the Year. Because large gatherings are not permitted under enforced lockdown rules in South Africa where the ceremony is normally held, the annual awards were held via an online streaming platform so that importers could attend remotely and safely. The awards, which highlight the efforts of Jaguar Land Rover’s retail network across the continent are given to importers that rank highest in a number of scoring categories for business performance, including vehicle sales volumes, sales of parts and accessories and maintaining Jaguar Land Rover’s required customer service standards.
